After majoring in Accounting with minors in Economics and Business, I joined the National Accounting Firm of Ernst&Young working in the areas of Audit, Tax and S.E.C. with clients in banking, manufacturing, franchising, retail and government.

I then joined a Fortune 1000 Company as Financial Manager with responsibilities in financial reporting, policies and procedures, budgets, cost controls, and in the legal area with duties of S.E.C. filings, Tax reporting, Pension plans and overseeing the Internal Audit of the company.

I am a Licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Tennessee and Alabama and have developed and managed over $150,000,000 (2,000,000 sq/ft) of retail shopping centers throughout the Southeast, including buying the land, rezoning, designing, building, leasing, managing, marketing and selling the properties.

Also as a Licensed General Contractor, I have designed and built custom/spec high end homes and oversees the buying of lots, designing of homes, building, marketing and selling the homes.

During my career I have bought, managed and sold Companies, Business Investments and Investment Properties for my own account, arranged Sales, Mergers and Acquisitions and Consultation for business, and was President/Owner of a medical heart cath lab company.

My civic involvements have included: 
Rotary Club, Y.M.C.A., United Way, Chamber-of Commerce, Buddies of Nashville.
